I am so sorry for taking so long to reply back to you. Yes, you can use toilet bowl cleaners in moderation. Your septic system was designed to handle Small Amounts of disinfectant cleaning solutions. But use too much and you can disinfect your septic system, killing all the bacteria in the tank. And in some rare cases the septic tank is so toxic it will not support life. If that's the case, all that needs to happen is empty the septic tank and start over. Being careful not to use too much chemicals and have close inspections by your septic provider. For additives.
